CoronaVerses: Poems from the Pandemic

When Britain went into lockdown, a new Facebook group, CoronaVerses: Poems from the Pandemic, provided a platform for people to express their fears, hopes, thoughts, anger, and gallows humour in verse. It proved so popular that two of the poets – Janine Booth and Attila the Stockbroker, who both live locally to Brighton – put together an anthology of over sixty poems by over fifty poets posted in the group in its first week. Since then, it has sold hundreds of copies, raising money for We Shall Overcome. And it has brought people together in act of poetic solidarity. Come to our festive reading of poems from the anthology, and stock up on copies of the book for a special price of £5 (down from the usual £8). It makes an excellent Christmas present!
