Die Puppe
The short Die Puppe by writer/ director Chaz Parvez is an experimental supernatural film that was inspired by a trip of his to Berlin. It has received recognition for its unique style and storytelling that hints at manipulation, fear and control. It features in the role of Die Frau, Heather-Rose Andrews (Jekyll & Hyde: A One-Woman Show) who embodies elegance with menace and an eerie calm.
The Darkness Remains
The Darkness Remains is a companion piece to Die Puppe. The film stars Brighton based actor John Locke (Oscar winning Poor Things, Darkest Hour and Vindication Swim), who's words, laced with cruelty, enhance his traits of psychologically abuse, disturbing charisma and corrupted authority. Heather-Rose Andrews reprises her gilded with malice role as Die Frau, whilst Holly-Marie Michael's (multi-award-winning BAFTA computer game Balder's Gate III) powerful performance balances vulnerability with psychological strength. Like Die Puppe, it blends surreal imagery with emotional tension, that culminates in dread, and literally explodes in haunting finality.
