HEAR HARD Dundee

THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE WATER

It was in Liverpool in 1978.
It was in Dundee in 1539.
It will be in the Galloverse on 11 May 2027.

Where does a song live without wax, without ink, without vinyl, without tape?
Which opposing forces are you caught between?
What are the Voices from the Galloverse trying to tell us?

HEAR HARD Dundee is borne on the carrying stream and will not directly involve Bill Drummond or Tam Dean Burn.

HEAR HARD Dundee is still difficult.

The Congregation (which is you) are advised to emerge into the Context before attending HEAR HARD Dundee. The Context can be found at https://www.penkilnburn.com/home/hear-hard

Act 1 will be performed by Erin Farley, Emil Max Thomson, and JD Henshaw.

Act 2 will be performed by you, the Congregation, by listening as hard as you emotionally can to both sides of the vinyl record Voices From The Galloverse.

Act 3 will be a joint performance, thorough interrogation, and collective attempt to conjure a ghost.

10 copies of the vinyl record Voices from the Galloverse will be available at HEAR HARD Dundee, and can be exchanged for £15. Before entering into a ritual relationship with this record, you must familiarise yourself with The Terms, which are also stated at https://www.penkilnburn.com/home/hear-hard.

HEAR HARD Dundee will take place in the former record shop in the Keiller Centre at 7pm on Friday 30 August 2024.
